SENIOR ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

The City of Mattoon is accepting applications for a Senior Engineering Technician.

The primary duties include Computer-Aided Drafting and Design, Field Surveying, Construction Inspection, Contract Administration, Plan Reviews, and other duties assigned related to the Public Works Department operations.

Candidates must at least possess a 2-year Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent. Candidates should also have 10 plus years of experience working with Public Works – related projects. The successful candidate may have experience working in the areas of water, sanitary and storm sewers, roadway design, ADA guidelines, construction inspection, and other related types of work. Having IDOT certifications in PCC, HMA and Documentation of Quantities a major plus.

The starting salary range is $56,600/yr to $81,000/yr dependent upon education, experience and certificates. The successful candidate is also eligible for paid overtime, health insurance, IMRF retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
