Position Summary
Responsible for providing day-to-day farm operations in support of instructional programs. This position will be working with the Veterinary Technology Department.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to identify signs of animal illnesses, diseases and injuries. Knowledgeable about basic livestock care procedures. Demonstrate animal control knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to identify animal species, breeds, ages and sexes. Ability to work with coworkers. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Occasionally may be required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning of holding areas, runs, stalls and pens assuring that animals receive food and water, bathing and grooming, and providing humane handling when animals need to be moved.
- Daily care and feeding of various livestock and companion animals.
- Reports on any special health conditions of livestock and companion animals to supervisor.
- Working animals as needed for data collection and animal health. Maintains accurate records of livestock and companion animals.
- Utilizes excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse internal/external stakeholders and constituents within the Dallas College community network.
- Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
- Provide excellent customer services to clients.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
