Lead Farm Coordinator
Giorgio Fresh Company is a leader in the distribution of fresh mushrooms and has an excellent opportunity for a Lead Farm Coordinator at our Blandon facility. We are looking for a detailed oriented individual with the ability to plan, coordinate and control the activities of lateral sales and mushroom ordering to maintain and enhance farm relationships and meet organizational and operational objectives. Food and/or Fresh Produce industry experience is preferred. The Lead Farm Coordinator (Lateral Sales) is responsible to oversee operations and daily activities of receiving QCs, farm coordinators and straight truck drivers. Maintains two month mushroom sales forecast. Monitors product movement to meet business demands. Maintains communication with customer service for add-ons or special requests as well as Fresh Pack Operations for any adjustments. Performs raw material inspections and inform staff of responsibility to report food safety and quality problems. Participates in receiving group meetings. Improves efficiencies and lower costs across the department. Conducts daily process audits, Food Safety and Safety floor walks. Visits Giorgio Farms on as needed basis to review quality or delivery issues. Determines trucking needs for the day and communicate daily sales to receiving dock and direct organization of product in dock. Gathers tickets being loaded on trucks, creates sales orders, bills of ladings and sign BOL’s. Communicates timing of trucks to lateral customers. Coordinates pickups from Kennett Square area. Provides accounting with info for lateral customers to assist with accounting. Communicates with drivers, production/shipping on timing and backhauls. Responsible for product downgrades and quality for lateral customers.
