We are looking for a Multimedia Product Owner to join our growing visual experiences team. This role is pivotal and focuses on improving the customer video experience. The Multimedia Product Owner will touch CTV/OTT, iOS, Android, Field 59 video player and web applications while collaborating closely with the development team to plan and execute new features. Reporting to the Director/Digital Product, this role will be involved in all development aspects, from requirement gathering, story development, delivery management, performance troubleshooting and finally release. This is an opportunity to define the future of video news and advertising while building immersive experiences that are used daily.
Additionally, this position will collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop a clear understanding of how users interact with video in order to introduce and optimize new features.
This is a fully remote, full-time role and reports to Director/Digital Product.
In this role, you will:
• Drive and own video product vision and strategy, including articulating the product's value by realizing market penetration, customer satisfaction or other key metrics
• Help tv broadcasters manage their transformation from over-the-air to OTT
• Work with next generation of FAST channels, linear playout and SSAI technologies
• Help others understand the video space and how people consume video
• Drive product release from end-to-end
• Create and execute a roadmap, prioritizing features linking business, competitive and user needs
• Lead engineering discussions, making technology and strategy decisions
• Own and deliver key customer experience, engagement and business metrics including revenue and conversion rates
• Influence stakeholders and executives to drive alignment and coordinated execution of the product roadmap
• Drive the customer experience using data and metrics
• Prioritize development based on return on investment, customer satisfaction, product performance, short/long term impact and overall strategic company goals
• Provide product leadership for our video suite across CTV/OTT, iOS, Android and web apps
• Translate business needs from end users to product requirements that are flexible and scalable
• Lead product initiatives end-to-end; drive product opportunities from ideation to adoption in order to deliver value to our clients and users
• Work with Project Management to reduce scope creep and ensure deliverable timelines are met
• Work with customers and internal staff to develop Q&A process and rollout plans
• Provide demos to stakeholders; sales; implementation and support teams
To be successful, you will need:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required. Equivalent related experience may be substituted
• TV broadcast experience and knowledge broadcast infrastructure a plus
• Video ad serving, server-side ad insertion and video programmatic advertising knowledge a plus
• 4+ years' demonstrated success in defining, managing and launching video products and professional services
• Extensive video creation and consumption knowledge
• Knowledge of desktop, iOS, Android and consumer product release processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write compelling product outlines and documentation
• Ability to lead and participate in webinars, podcasts and other customer-facing activities
• Ability to influence others while working independently
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile development processes. Preference given candidates with extensive agile experience
• Proven experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, design documentation, process flows and wireframes in order to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements
• Strong business requirement analytical skills with the ability to produce clearly articulated requirements and documents
• Strong understanding of iterative software development
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills required to interact with staff, colleagues, management and internal/external customers
• Attention to detail including ability to follow written and verbal directions and error free written communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, tasks all while coordinating various channels of communication
• Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
