Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Revenue Integrity, provides data for MGRMC's inpatient/outpatient information systems.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent.
• Current CCS, CPC, COC, CIC certifications.
• 5 years minimum hospital coding experience.
• Internet speeds must meet the minimum requirements of 50 mbps download, 10 mbps upload, and 15 bing. Screenshot of speed test will be required.
• Demonstrated knowledge coding diagnoses, operations, and non-operative procedures utilizing the ICD10-CM and CPT coding systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, statistics, and computer skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC staff and support personnel required.
• Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
• An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
• Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.
• Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
• Coding certification by either AAPC or AHIMA
