The Department of Medicine - The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking full-time faculty at the level of Assistant Professor in the appointment stream. Qualified applicants will be established investigators with a proven track record in extramural NIH funding. Exciting opportunities are available for translational research and clinical care. Qualified applicants must have a PhD and be an established investigator with a proven track record in extramural NIH funding, and a strong publication record. The position offers superb opportunities for research, direct patient care, and teaching and mentoring of students, residents, and fellows.

 

Academic appointments and salary are dependent upon qualifications and experience.


Applicants should have three or more years of experience in related scientific research; have obtained or demonstrated the ability to obtain external research funding; have disseminated results through peer-reviewed publications and other scientific forums; have significant teaching experience; and demonstrate the capacity for sustained career development, promotion, and tenure.
